THE EPIC!

The Amgen Tour of California Race Experience was a spring focal point for 10 years at CTS. With the cancellation of the race back in 2020, their new event, the Golden State Epic, is set to capture the features athletes liked most about the Race Experience while upgrading features that they have more flexibility with.

The Golden State Epic will feature 6 days of big point-to-point rides, epic climbs, world-class scenery, and the on- and off-bike support you expect from CTS. And because they’ve increased flexibility, they will have later start times in the mornings, shorter or non-existent transfers, upgraded hotel accommodations, and better food.

They’ve hand-picked some of the best routes in California that will take you through towering forests, past sweeping ocean views, and over epic climbs from Santa Ynez to Mt Baldy.

You’ll ride 75 to 100 miles per day with anything from 6,600 feet to 10,800 feet with world class support and VIP treatment. Every ride includes CTS guides, support vehicles and nutrition and hydration products throughout the day, leaving you to concentrate on the pedalling with 10—15 like-minded people.

All CTS cycling camps combine great rides with one-on-one instruction from professional coaches and every training session is fully supported.

Throughout the day, CTS support vehicles will supply everything you could need, and no matter what your fitness level they’ll make sure you’re challenged but never overwhelmed.

This training camp is your opportunity to focus on your passion for a week, taking the opportunity to eat, sleep, and train like a full-time cyclist.

The EPIC is ideally suited to endurance cyclists who are looking experience a full week of MICHELIN STAR cycling!

EPIC Features

This All-inclusive Bucket List Event includes everything once you arrive in Santa Barbara.

Athletes will benefit from 8 days / 7 nights lodging at the luxury boutique Hotel Corque located in California’s beautiful Santa Ynez Valley. It’s close to some of the region’s best wineries and vineyards and offers sophisticated comfort and luxury with custom-designed furnishings, full-service concierge, mini fridges, flat screen TVs and free WIFI.

You’ll be picked up and dropped off after your stay with private transportation to and from Santa Barbara airport. On arrival your bike will be built. It will be kept in pristine condition with daily bike washes and tune-ups from professional mechanics. Your bike will be prepped for shipping on return too.

You’ll also receive a slick CTS training jersey as part of your camp experience.

Off the Bike

The training doesn’t end after each daily coach led ride, athletes will benefit from group training presentations with question and answers sessions.

Athletes will receive one-to-one professional coaching and analysis with use of your daily power files.

A daily massage will also keep you in top form for each daily ride, around 75 to 100 miles per day with anywhere from 6,600 – 10,800 feet across beautiful rolling hills and scenic mountainous climbs with view across the stunning Santa Ynez valley.
