Great news for Gran Fondo fans worldwide!
The Gran Fondo World Tour® series is in the planning stages to grow its community of events in unique destinations as well as building on its hugely successful virtual Gran Fondo World® online racing series in 2022.
Gran Fondo World Tour® CEO, Dani Buyo stated, “We are proud to announce shortly new family members that will expand our presence around the globe and introduce new interesting destinations and challenges on the road, with more gravel and ultra-cycling distance events too. That takes us up to 25 series events in more than 20 countries in 2022, with continued expansion of our community.”
Planned is further digitization of series events into virtual experiences on the Gran Fondo World® online platform, opening the door for community events to track and engage with their fans globally, who can participate from the comfort of their own home.
After the successful running of virtual online racing in 2021, CEO Dani Buyo said, “We will strive to give our huge fan base of riders the opportunity to ride our community events virtually.”
The Gran Fondo World® virtual racing series proved very popular throughout the 2021 season, motivating athletes to keep fit with many experiencing racing online for the first time. It also had the added benefit of allowing community members to ride and race parts of the routes virtually ahead of the actual event.
CEO Dani Buyo continued, “I would like to sincerely thank our all current community members, customers and partners for staying focused during these times and for their continued collaboration. Together, we can make a difference”
“Our mission to improve people’s lives with world-class cycling experiences is more relevant now than ever.”
