Primoz Roglic Wins Tirreno-Adriatico Overall with 3 stage Wins

Team Jumbo Visma and PrimozRoglic dominated the race winning three stages in close battle with João Almeida, Lennard Kamna and Tao Geoghegan

The final stage came down to a bunch sprint with Jasper Philipsen beating Dylan Groenewegen and Alberto Dainese on the line.

In the week Primoz Roglic outguned Julian Alaphilippe and Adam Yates in the punchy finale onstage 4. Lennard Kämna moved into the lead of the general classification.

Roglic won the difficult Queen stage 5 and took the overall lead in the general classification thanks to ten bonus seconds.

On Saturday, Roglic won a third straight stage on stage 6, consolidating his overall victory before the final sprint stage today.

One of the reasons Roglic wanted to race Tirreno-Adriatico was to get used to his (new) teammates at Jumbo-Visma. Kelderman is one of the riders who will be riding the Giro d'Italia with Roglic. "It's crucial to develop a positive rapport with one another. We showed what we do.”
