Minor update of the 2024 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships courses

The courses of the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships taking place on 1 September in Aalborg, Denmark have been updated slightly

The Mediofondo, the official World Championships distance for all men over 60 and women over 50 is now 112.4 km adding an extra 2km surpassing the events venue after 57.7km on the previous course.

The Granfondo course for men up to 59 and women up to 49 will now be 152.9km long adding the same extra loop after 97km.

Aalborg is in the north of Denmark and Denmark one of the biggest cycling nations, The city has solid experience in the organisation of mass participation events, and Denmark is one of the leading nations when it comes to the promotion of cycling.

The 2024 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships will take place in Aalborg in northern Denmark next August 28th - September 1st, 2024.
