The Belgian Waffle Ride series (BWR) is thrilled to announce the inaugural Hell of Bozone, a unique gravel cycling event set to take place on June 28-29, 2025, in the breath-taking Gallatin Valley. This event marks the grand finale of the BWR Quad-Tripel Crown, promising an unforgettable experience for cyclists of all abilities amidst the stunning backdrop of Montana's natural beauty.
Bozeman, known for its rugged terrain and awe-inspiring landscapes, will serve as the perfect host for this epic challenge. Riders will tackle 111 miles of unfiltered adventure, featuring a staggering 8,000 feet of elevation gain that will test both endurance and spirit.
“This isn’t just another gravel ride; it’s a gritty gala of grandeur,” said BWR founder, Michael Marckx. “The Hell of the Bozone will push riders to their limits while offering a celebration of the wild, unpaved beauty of Big Sky Country.”
Participants can choose from three distinct distances tailored for varying levels of experience and ambition:
- Waffle (111 miles, 8K ft): The full-flavored, full-body bonk-a-thon, the finale of the Quad-Tripel Crown.
- Wafer (65 miles, 4K ft): A challenging route that still delivers the pain, but with less bleeding.
- Wanna (30 miles, 2K ft): A taste of the suffering, ideal for the uninitiated or those feeling particularly optimistic.
Each course will showcase Bozeman’s iconic scenery, featuring twisting forest trails, rolling ranch roads, and crisp mountain air, ensuring that riders are treated to breath-taking views as they conquer the climbs.
The Hell of the Bozone is made possible through the generous support of local legends and national endurance champions, including Bozeman Health, Mountain Hot Tub, Bozeman Chamber of Commerce, Unwaffle, Ponderosa Social Club, The Daily Chronicle, Neversecond Performance Nutrition, Qeja Socks, Mumu Apparel, Almsthre, BikeInsure, and the local pour masters at MAP Brewing and Ponderosa Social Club, who will be raising pints at the finish line.
To kick off the event, an Unroad Unveiling Party presented by Beringia will take place at their flagship store on Saturday, June 28, from 6 PM to 9 PM.
Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the new courses in detail while enjoying local cuisine and libations in a vibrant atmosphere.
