Marcus and Habets Take Victory at the UCI Gravel One Fifty
Dutch Continental Pro Jordan Habets and Women’s World Tour pro Femke Marcus emerged victorious at the UCI Gravel One Fifty held in the picturesque landscapes of the Netherlands on Saturday morning
Over 2,000 cyclists braved the challenging 150km course in hot weather, marking the event as one of the most competitive gravel races of the year.
Jordon Habets, racing for METEC - SOLARWATT p/b Mantel, showcased his remarkable stamina and tactical prowess, crossing the finish line first with a time of 4:06:45. The 23-year-old cyclist edged out Belgium’s Kamiel Notebaert, who finished just five seconds later at 4:06:50, securing a hard-fought second place. Last year’s champion, 26-year-old Brit Thomas Mein, rounded out the podium in third, clocking in at 4:06:59. Just shy of the podium were Ryan Kamp and Mauro Verwilt, who finished 10 seconds behind Mein, exemplifying the fierce competition throughout the race.
In the women’s category, Femke Marcus, representing SD WORX - PROTIME, delivered a nail-biting performance, clinching victory in a photo finish against Germany's Rosa Kloser. Both riders stopped the clock at 4:26:56, but it was Marcus who proved to have the edge in the final meters. Julia Kopecky from the Czech Republic secured third place, finishing five minutes behind the leaders. The Top 5 was completed by Tessa Neefjes and Esmee Peperkamp, both showcasing the depth of talent in women’s cycling.

Their impressive performances not only highlight their prowess but also set the stage for future competitions.
Participants who finished in the top 25% of their age/gender category earned qualification for the upcoming UCI Gravel World Championships, scheduled for October 2025 in the Netherlands. This opportunity adds an extra layer of excitement and motivation for cyclists looking to compete on a world stage.
