Once a thriving gold and silver mining center, San Luis Potosi is a city that seamlessly blends history, culture, and natural beauty. The historic center boasts ornate churches, colorful buildings, grand squares, museums, and markets that offer a glimpse into its historic past. Beyond its urban charm, San Luis Potosí is a gateway to stunning landscapes, from rolling hills to lush forests, waterfalls and caves, creating a spectacular setting for any adventure.

For GFNY riders, San Luis Potosi offers an experience like no other. Its diverse terrain combines challenging ascents, winding roads, and scenic routes that are as rewarding as they are demanding, making it ideal for cyclists of all skill levels. The central location of the city ensures easy access, while the altitude of 1877 m above sea level provides a temperate climate.

Off the bike, participants and their families can immerse themselves in the local culture, savoring the authentic gastronomy and enjoying the atmosphere that makes this region an unforgettable place. GFNY San Luis Potosí invites you to compete, explore, and discover a destination that promises an extraordinary mix of competition, culture, and natural wonders.

GFNY San Luis Potosi has designed the perfect route and offers a little bit of everything for everyone to enjoy.

The race begins in the historic center of San Luis Potosí, touring the emblematic places of the city, such as the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Municipal Palace and Morales Park. It offers participants a unique combination of cultural heritage and high speed in the first few kilometres.

The decisive moment begins just outside the city, before Pozuelos, where you will begin a 13 km ascent, with an average gradient of 3% and a maximum of 7.9%. This ascent will test your endurance and strategy, offering minimal relief, but maximum satisfaction upon completion. Once at the top, you'll enjoy panoramic views of San Luis Potosi and the Sierra de San Miguelito, a unique interplay between the tranquility of nature and the energy of the city.

After the ascent, the circuit transforms into a fluid descent on wide roads with views of the Sierra. Upon returning to the city, be prepared for the enthusiasm of the public on your way to the finish line. You will pass through Tangamanga Park and emblematic places such as the Glorieta Benito Juárez, before the final stretch towards the city center.

Medium-route riders will cross the finish line here, while long-route riders will prepare for a second lap to celebrate the victory. This route is designed not only as a physical and tactical battlefield, but also as a display of resilience and strategy.
