Distances: 1000km
Difficulty: Extreme terrain with frequent steep hills and long sustained climb

Departing from the legendary French Riviera, you will discover the Préalpes d’Azur park to reach the Gorges du Verdon and the Giant of Provence: the Mont Ventoux (1,909m). After this mythical climb, you will cross the Écrins National Park to reach the highest road in Europe and the Col de la Bonette(2,802m). You will reach the Mediterranean Sea via the Daluis gorges cut in the red schist.

The South Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region is famous for the beauty of its landscapes, its relaxed lifestyle and its authentic culture. Bordered by the Mediterranean, it has 8 natural parks and a very varied geology (clues, gorges, lakes…).

The South region and its 6 departments are a paradise for climbers with the highest passes in France. Its many picturesque villages have a unique charm that characterizes the South of France.

The many bakeries, fountains and shops accessible all along the road are part of the French experience and will remind you of the values of the first convicts of the road to have cycled in these places.
