For over a decade, riders have asked Mudslinger Events to create a 50-mile endurance race to complement the legendary High Cascades 100. While it’s impossible to produce both on the same July weekend—and 100 miles is a big ask for many—the time has come to deliver a new late-season challenge.

On the 4th Saturday of September, we’re proud to present the Ring of Fire MTB part of the NUE Marathon Series, staged from Wanoga Sno-Park. This singletrack-laced route captures the best of Bend’s riding—flowing pine forest trails, volcanic terrain, and the mountain views that make Central Oregon special.

The event’s name pays tribute to the Cascade Mountains and the chain of volcanoes forming part of the 25,000-mile Pacific “Ring of Fire.”

Embrace the lava, the singletrack, and the spirit of the season’s final race—then cross the finish line grinning.
