Gravel Route (*109 miles / 175km, 3,000m / 9,000ft ascent): This route is perfect for experienced cyclists looking to complete the course in the same day and newcomers looking to take on their first long-distance multi day event. Suitable for gravel and mountain bikes, the course starts and finishes at Tiny Rebel Brewery Bar, Rogerstone. Riders will traverse a mix of cycleways, quiet roads, and forestry tracks, navigating through Wentwood Forest, Chepstow Parkwood, and the Forest of Dean. On the return leg, the route goes through the Wye Valley Greenway Tunnel but riders will need to be quick as the tunnel is closed between 8pm and 7am, anyone that arrives after this time will need to follow a diversion which adds on several miles and some elevation gain for good measure, from Chepstow the route climbs out and then follows establish national cycle routes, which consist of flat miles including rough gravel, tarmac and some dirt tracks back to the start / finish line.
