RAMROD is not dead, but it’s not happening in 2026. So the Redmond Cycling Club is putting their time into launching a new round-trip ride from Enumclaw to Mowich Lake on the northwest side of Mount Rainier, a destination that has been very difficult to access since the Fairfax Bridge closed in April, 2025.

The Gravel Enumclaw To Mowich in A Day (“GETMAD”) ride is more than 80 miles and includes 6,300 feet of climbing. But perhaps more interesting, it follows a route through private property that is not typically open to the public. This ride could be a very rare opportunity to experience the mountain on these routes. This also means that unlike RAMROD, which uses roads, GETMAD will require mixed terrain cycling with some smooth roads, paved trails and many sections of rugged off-road.

The ride is July 23, and registration is now open on a first come, first served basis. Cost is $80.
