The 2019 Tour des Chutes continues the great tradition of the ride in its 15th year, featuring some of the most scenic and well supported rides in the region. The event supports community programming that assists people with cancer in the Central Oregon community. Since the inaugural event in 2005 we have raised well over $1 million for these programs!

The Tour des Chutes is not a bike race. It is a celebration, an event to celebrate life, cancer survivorship and a chance to reflect on the too many who have passed on from cancer. It offers many meanings for each participant. The Tour des Chutes features 100, 75, 50, 25 and 7-mile road routes, and new this year, two gravel grinder routes! Participants have ranged in age from 2 and our oldest was 93.

In 2013 we were able to offer our riders large sections from two of the newly designated roads listed on Oregon Scenic Bikeways.  Twin Bridges Loop was showcased on our 50 and 75 mile routes and Smith Rock Scenic Bikeway was enjoyed by our Century riders.

Cyclists on the Twin Bridges Loop enjoy rolling terrain and offers breathtaking views of the snow-capped Cascade mountains, forests and beautiful high desert terrain. Participants on the Smith Rock Scenic Byway enjoy historical sites, the gentle curves of the Deschutes River and turns around when one reaches the dramatic walls of Smith Rock State Park.

The 15th Annual Tour des Chutes is scheduled for July 13th, 2019. Place it on your calendar now!
