The event kicks off at Market Street in DC Ranch, which is located near the southeast corner of Pima Road and Thompson Peak Parkway in Scottsdale. The event features a 70-mile and 30-mile citizen’s ride.

The event beneficiary is the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy, a nonprofit conservation organization in Scottsdale that protects and promotes the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. The Tour de Scottsdale event is capped at 2,000 cyclists so register now!

The 15th annual Tour de Scottsdale is produced and hosted by the DC Ranch Community Council. DC Ranch is proud to partner with the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy in providing a charity athletic event that circumnavigates the Preserve. 

You can ride any type of bike as long as you can ride it safely in large groups. Mountain bikes, recumbents and handbikes are all acceptable types of bikes. Aero-type and other similar auxiliary handlebars are prohibited; this includes tri-bikes with otherwise unremovable aerobars. Only bikes equipped with drop bars or flat bars will be allowed to ride in the event.

As a participant of this year’s event you will receive an invitation email to your Virtual Goody Bag prior to the event giving you access to the bag. Prize / Race Categories

The Tour de Scottsdale features corral staging to facilitate a safe and efficient event experience for all participants at all levels of experience. Corrals 1 and 2 are seeded placement for the 30 and 70 mile ride. Past Tour de Scottsdale results and results from will be used to provide qualifying times. Please make sure you visit Athlinks to check your results and verify that details are up to date by Oct. 1, 2018 for accurate corral assignment. Placement into Corral 1 or 2 is not guaranteed.

Corrals 3, 4, and 5 are open corrals and placement will occur based on expected net pace per mile provided at the time of registration.

The start will be in waves. Wave 1 consists of faster paced 70-mile & 30-mile cyclists. Wave 2 consists of slower paced 70-mile & 30-mile cyclists.

Seeded corrals are offered to ensure a positive experience and provide all participants the same opportunity for a safe, quick and smooth start and sufficient room along the course. Space in the corrals is limited and offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Placement into the corrals is not guaranteed.

Timing Chips are stickers that will be wrapped around your seat post.
