The third annual Maple City Century will be bigger than ever before! This will be an epic bicycle century that you won't soon forget. It starts and ends in the Maple City (Honesdale) and covers some of Wayne County's most scenic and challenging dirt roads. This year there will be 3 routes to choose from: 30mi, 62mi (metric century), and the whole 100mi. All the routes will be predominantly dirt with a few paved sections to connect the dirt roads. Expect to see lots of farms, animals, waterfalls, climbs, and rocks. There will be designated rest stops along the way and support vehicles available on the course. The course will be marked, but it is highly recommended to have the route programed into your GPS if you have one. Registration will be available via BikeReg.com. It is not a race, but can be competitively fun. We hope to have prizes/medals/shirts/swag available. There is a Facebook event page with all of the latest information in addition to www.maplecitycentury.com. Cyclocross bikes or gravel road bikes would be ideal for this ride, but just about any bike will work.We've had people complete the 100mi route on gravel bikes, 'cross bikes, fat bikes, mountain bikes, and true road bikes.

Metric – This is the ‘tweener of the event. It has more adventure and rugged roads than th 30mi route, but isn’t quite as challenging as the full century. This is a mostly dirt route with big climbs and beautiful views. There will be at least one rest stop on this route that is stocked with food, water, sports drinks, and more.

Full Century – This is the route that started it all! It’s mostly dirt (90+mi) and has everything you can imagine: steep climbs, long climbs, scenic views, technical logging roads, farm crossings, and more! You will see the best that Wayne County, PA has to offer on this route. There will be three rest stops along the route that will be stocked with food, water, sports drinks, and anything specific that you bring to be brought to the rest stop.

30mi – New for this year! This is just a glimpse of what Wayne County, PA has to offer the adventerous cyclist. It will use the beginning and ending roads of the full century and cut out the painfully beautiful middle. This will be a mostly dirt route with some paved sections in between.
