BC Ice Cream Century

BC Ice Cream Century

June 02 2018
Battle Creek, Michigan, USA

A century ride is a cycling event in which riders cover 100 miles, or in our case, 100 km in a specified amount of time. The BC Ice Cream Century is adding a twist (literally) to the traditional century. Riders will be able to choose between a full metric century, or 62 miles (the double scoop) or a shorter distance of 40 miles (the single scoop). Beginning the journey at Team Active Cycling and Fitness riders will then follow a marked route around the Battle Creek area stopping at Station 66, Turkeyville, and Lickity Split. Riders will be able to choose an item from a specified list at each stop.  Riders will end their tour back at Team Active for a post-ride meal from Gorilla Gourmet.

In addition to the ice cream stops, there will be aid stations for riders to refuel (on things other than sugar), fill water bottles and stretch their legs.

The BC Ice Cream Century is also partnering with Team Active Cycling and Fitness to provide mechanical assistance at designated stops. In addition, they will be providing sag support for riders who have a bike break down and are no longer able to continue on the route.
