UCI Gran Fondo Rio de Janeiro is an official and qualifying round of the World Amateur Cycling Championship. Created and organized by Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), it will be played in the City of Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil.

The race will take place on August 8th, 2021 in the city of Rio de Janeiro and will have two distances (Gran Fondo  115 km with 1,285 m of cumulative ascent and 77 km with 907 m of cumulative ascent) in an inspired route by the Olympic road cycling race in Rio 2016 Olympic Games (approx. 70% of the route)!

Starting at Aterro do Flamengo, the race will cross, located north of the municipality of Mangaratiba, on the Green Coast of Rio de Janeiro State.

The route will be entirely closed for the passage of the race, starting at Aterro do Flamengo in front of Marina da Glória, crossing the main beaches in Rio such as Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblon and will climb the famous Floresta da Tijuca, passing through the famous Vista Chinesa & Mesa do Imperador, down the Canoas road all the way to Grota Funda through Barra da Tijuca beach, returning via Prainha and finishing at Recreio dos Bandeirantes Beach.
