Long route

The long route will drop south, skirting Grafham water, then heading south before crossing the A1 at Tempsford to tackle Everton Hill and heading towards Cambridge. The route then heads north into the rolling hills of west Cambridgeshire, passing the new town of Cambourne. Here it crosses the new A14 at the Swavesey cycle bridge before a short excursion onto the busway, heading north onto the Fens before turning west to cross the A1 at Alconbury to tackle the last few hills back to Grafham Water and retracing back to the Huntingdon Racecourse.

Distance 168kms.

Classic route

The Classic route follows the long route until Chawston where it turns west for eight miles before turning north and winding through quiet roads. It crosses the A14 at Catworth and re-joins the long route at Barham to tackle the final climbs before heading back to the finish at Huntingdon.

Distance 111kms.

Short route

The Short Route also follows the Classic and Long routes on the way out and back with some extra climbing to add to the challenge of the ride.

Distance 42kms.

Further Information about the Wiggle Cambridgeshire Sportive

This being the 10th year of the Wiggle Super Series, the Cambridgeshire Sportive is a fitting addition to Wiggle’s exciting range of 2020 events.

Expect fully supported rides and a celebratory finish line atmosphere.

Wiggle experts will be on-hand to talk all things bike, while our mechanics and ride ambassadors will join the race to help with mechanical issues or punctures.

And, to capture your memories of the event, on-course photos will be provided by the official photographer for the Tour of Britain, Theo Southee.

High5 will be providing for all your nutritional needs at the feed stations, ensuring you return to the vibrant event village ready to enjoy the entertainment and hot food provided by dhb, with delicious vegan options through to a full carnivore selection.

Every rider will get a medal on completion and a photo-opportunity either solo or with your group on the podium, all before enjoying finish-line freebies and a variety of retail at hugely reduced prices.

Huntingdon Racecourse is a stunning location and we know you’ll want to keep it this way. Food and drink will be served with the environment in mind which means no single-use plastics or disposable cups.

We would also like to encourage carbon neutral travel so ride to the event or use public transport if you can.

Full route descriptions and event information will be emailed to all riders prior to the event.

On-the-day entry is available and incurs an additional £5 to the entry fee to help with the extra administration costs.
