Distances: 37, 100 miles
Difficulty: Moderate terrain with rolling short steep hills or moderate, sustained climbs

Located in northern Jefferson County, Ohio, on the historic Yellow Creek, the McLain Farm has been in the family since 1858.  We are excited to share it with you during the inaugural McLain Farm Gravel Grinder.  The three distances include 100, 62.5, and 35 mile options, highlighting some of the best gravel roads in all of eastern Ohio.  With great climbs and even better descents, the ride is a mix of 70% gravel and 30% country roads showing off the area’s natural beauty.

Our goal in hosting this event is to promote northern Jefferson County and cycling.  We hope that all of our participants fall in love with the area and come visit the county throughout the year to enjoy the natural beauty, excellent roads, and the great local businesses.

Race day is Saturday with a post-race hoe-down with food, drink, and music.

All race tickets include a post ride meal and 1 free beverage. Any non riders that want a meal and a beverage will have to purchase a hoe-down ticket.

All riders are REQUIRED to download the routes to a GPS enabled device. Helmets required.  All routes will be partially marked with signage, and are on open roads, all rules of the road apply.

Routes will be provided one week before the event date via email.

We reserve the right to make changes to the event and course for the safety of the riders and changes in road conditions.

More info to come as we get closer to the event date.  We are super stoked to see everyone in August and to have a great time on bikes and together as a community.
