L'Étape Bulgaria

The first edition of the Etape Bulgaria by Tour de France will be held on July 30, 2023.

Experience the spirit of the legendary Tour de France race in the Western Rhodopes region. Be a part of a breathtaking experience with hundreds of cycling enthusiasts in the region. Like professional cyclists, you will ride on completely closed roads in the area of the spa capital of the Balkans, Velingrad. Enjoy the beautiful and varied course with two challenging climbs as well as some technical and speed descents. The route of L'Etape Bulgaria from the Tour de France offers you an excellent challenge with more than 1700 m of altitude for climbing enthusiasts.

The long weekend begins on Friday afternoon (July 28th) with the opening of the Tour de France museum and the registration of the riders. Saturday (July 29) is scheduled for fun and preparation, a family ride and a children's race, for which pre-registration is required due to space limitations. Until we get to the long-awaited Sunday morning (July 30th) where we will see who will wear the yellow jersey of the Tour de France for the first time in Bulgaria.
