Alentejo Gravel is a new event on the UCI Gravel World Series calendar organized by Cabreira Solutions, the team behind the succesful Granfondo Coimbra Region which is part of the UCI Gran Fondo World Series since many years.
Starting from the cosy town of Ourique, there are two distances on offer.
A 119km course with 2100m of elevation will count as qualifier for the younger categories
A shorter 87km variant counts as qualifier for the men over 60 and women over 50. Total elevation is 1500m#
In the heart of Baixo Alentejo, between unique landscapes and challenging trails, Ourique will be the stage for one of the great moments of national cycling: the Gravel race that takes place on November 9, 2025, officially integrated in the qualifying circuit for the 2026 Gravel World Championship.
This event will bring together the best athletes of the sport in a demanding but exciting event that combines adventure, technique and endurance. Starting and ending in Ourique, participants will travel dirt roads, rural trails and typical paths of the region, on a route that promises excitement from start to finish.
Open to federated and non-federated athletes, of different age groups, this event guarantees a balanced and high-level competition. There will also be a structure prepared to welcome the public, with a social area, restaurants, exhibitors and activities for all ages – making this day a true gravel and cycling festival.
