The Broadmoor Cycle to the Summit is a breathtaking bicycle race up Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain. Literally. Sanctioned by USA Cycling, this competitive style hill climb consists of multiple medal categories giving cyclists of all skill levels the opportunity to take on Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain.

Elevate your bucket list by 14,115 ft. A ride of 12.42 miles and 156 turns.

This event will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, and is an annual event of the Colorado Springs Sports Corporation.

Cyclists will ride in a fully supported event, including three rest areas along the course at Glen Cove, Devils Playground, and Summit. These rest areas will have water, Powerade, and light snacks available.

Introducing the Midway Challenge – A New Way to Conquer Pikes Peak!

Looking for an exhilarating ride without going all the way to the summit? The Midway Challenge is perfect for you! This brand-new category in the 2025 Broadmoor Cycle to the Summit lets you experience the thrill of climbing Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain while stopping at Glen Cove, halfway up the mountain – a ride of 5.16 miles.

This timed event is fully supported with aid stations along the course to keep you fueled and hydrated. Plus, all finishers will receive a Midway Challenge medal to celebrate their achievement!

Summit Society

Cycle your way into the Summit Society! Named in honor of Pikes Peak- America’s Mountain which summit sits at 14,115 ft., Summit Society is an exclusive club for summiteers united by the challenge and adventure of cycling up Pikes Peak.

Riders that complete Cycle to the Summit in the specified race time frame (before 9:45 AM) will become a member of the Summit Society and will receive a medal and exclusive discounts and perks!

Colorado State Championship

The Broadmoor Cycle to the Summit is recognized as the Colorado Senior and Masters Hill Climb Championship. Bicycle Colorado designates and supports events to serve as Colorado State Championships across 29 racing categories, including criterium, road racing, time trial, hill climb, XC mountain bike, track, and cyclocross.

State championship winners receive jerseys (courtesy of Primal) and medals are awarded to the top three finishers in all Senior & Masters categories. 

To earn a Colorado State Championship title, riders must be Colorado residents.

Difficulty of Greatest Route: C - Moderate terrain with rolling short steep hills or moderate, sustained climbs

Medals will be awarded to the top Men's, Women's, Juniors (17-18), and Juniors 16U; finishers (1st-3rd).  

Summiteer medals are awarded to all riders reaching the summit within the time limit.
