The 9th edition of the Cowichan Crusher, on May 31st , 2026, is first of the Triple Crown series, which takes place in the picturesque Cowichan Valley. The Cowichan Crusher highlights historical significance and scenery of the Cowichan Valley offering a scenic and challenging ride. Rolling hills, covered in lush green trees, panoramic views, gravel roads, trails, and scenic vistas of Vancouver Island, particularly within the Cowichan Valley are some of the reasons this is one of the best places in Canada to ride gravel.

Featuring four distinct distances in 2026:

Piccolo / Beginner Fondo (Approx. 25kms)

Start /finish Lake Cowichan
Geared toward beginner to intermediate-level cyclists

Medio Fondo (Approx. 50kms)
Starting and concluding in Lake Cowichan, BC
Ideal for beginner to intermediate-level cyclists

Full Fondo (Approx. 98kms)
Start /finish Lake Cowichan
Tailored for intermediate to expert-level cyclists

Full Fondo Plus (Approx. 160kms or 100 Miles!)
Start /finish Lake Cowichan
Tailored for intermediate to expert-level cyclists

Starting and finishing in Lake Cowichan, participants will enjoy camping accommodations, post-event meal, cold beverage and possibly a post-ride dip in the lake.

Registration includes; Souvenir socks, support on course (mechanicals / flats), several aid stations on course, results with a time and draw prizes, plus overall top 3 prizes in each event, as well warm food and a cold beverage at the finish.

There are individual and team competitions for men, women, team of two and team of 4 riders and their results are based upon the combined times.
