Emma Boggio and Brennan King take Victory at 2026 Kettle Mettle Dirty Fondo 

The 2026 Kettle Mettle Dirty Fondo rolled into Princeton under clear blue skies, with a cool morning quickly giving way to warm sunshine as riders lined up for another unforgettable day on the gravel.

Conditions were close to perfect as the Full Fondo riders set off just after 8:00 a.m., followed by the Medio and Beginner fields heading out onto the historic KVR and the rolling gravel roads surrounding the valley.
 
The racing was fierce across all distances. In the 100 km Full Fondo, Vancouver’s Brennan King powered to victory in 3:13:34, knocking 10 minutes off the course record, followed by Brian Hendry and local rider Alan Lawes, rounding out a strong men’s podium.
 
On the women’s side, Emma Boggio delivered a commanding win in 3:36:05, with Sarah Cummings and Jennifer McCrea completing the top three.

In the 50 km Medio Fondo, Princeton’s own Daniel Labonte took the men’s win in 2:40:48, ahead of Darragh O’Reilly and Alan Costin
 
The women’s race saw Claire Doiron claim top honours in 2:44:05, with Susanne Bohmert and Malli Granby finishing close together to secure second and third.
 
The 25 km Beginner Fondo brought out a mix of new riders and community participants, with Ron McKenzie taking the overall win in 1:18:15, just three seconds ahead of Parker Joseph, while Elizabeth Smith claimed third overall and first among the women.

Riders returned to the finish area to enjoy hot pizza, cold drinks, and a relaxed afternoon in the park — swapping stories, celebrating achievements, and soaking in the atmosphere that makes Kettle Mettle one of BC’s most beloved gravel events. The feedback across all distances was overwhelmingly positive, with riders praising the scenery, the course quality, and the warm community welcome.
 
A huge thank-you goes out to every rider, volunteer, sponsor, and community partner who helped make the 11th Annual Kettle Mettle Dirty Fondo such a success.

The next stop in the BC Triple Crown of Gravel is the Sea2Sky Gravel Fondo in Squamish on September 27, 2026, which will also host the inaugural BC Gravel Championships.
