New York City, June 17, 2026 – This past Sunday, the iconic pilgrimage town of Lourdes hosted the fifth edition of GFNY Lourdes Tourmalet, welcoming nearly 2,000 riders from around the world. As the biggest cycling race in the Pyrenees, the event once again delivered one of the most challenging courses on the GFNY calendar: 157 km with a staggering 4,064 meters of elevation gain.
 
Riders faced a demanding 157 km course featuring 4,064 meters of climbing, highlighted by the legendary Col du Tourmalet (2,115 m), the most frequently climbed mountain pass in Tour de France history and one of the sport’s most iconic ascents.
 
The route combined breathtaking mountain scenery with a relentless test of endurance, rewarding riders with the opportunity to challenge themselves on the same roads that have shaped some of cycling’s greatest moments.
 
In the men’s race, Thomas Seigneuret (France) delivered a commanding performance to take the victory in 4:38:19. Noah Brits (Belgium) finished second, while Antoine Claverie (France) completed the podium in third place.
 
The women’s race was won by Barbara Save (France), runner-up at GFNY Alpes Vaujany in 2024, who crossed the finish line solo in 6:00:29.  Irati Ibabe Arenaza (Spain), finished second four minutes later. Laura Normand (United Kingdom) rounded out the women’s podium in third place.

GFNY Lourdes Tourmalet continues to stand out as one of the premier cycling events in Europe thanks to its combination of breathtaking scenery, historic climbs, and enthusiastic fan support. Situated at the gateway to the Pyrenees, Lourdes offers direct access to legendary roads such as the Col du Tourmalet, Luz Ardiden, and Hautacam. Next up on the GFNY calendar is the Inaugural edition of GFNY Belitung-Indonesia and sixth edition of GFNY La Vaujany which will take place Sunday, June 21, 2026.
