Brittani Shappell and Max Ritzow fastest at 2026 Gorge Gravel

Gorge Gravel 2026 was one for the books - scattered sunny skies, happy vibes, and an all around stellar day!

Gorge Gravel was the perfect early spring event celebrating all riders from beginners to seasoned gravel gurus testing fitness coming out of the winter with beautiful views, pure gravel camaraderie, and a pre and post-ride celebration based in Oregon's gem of gravel, Dufur.

The 3 courses offered great views of the Gorge and surrounding Cascade Mountain peaks as well as an assortment of old school buildings, barns, and houses from the late 1800’s. Rolling bright green wheat fields dominate the landscape in all directions.

On the Big Gravel course, previous winner Max Ritzow (Max and Sean Racing) just outsprinted Allan Schroeder (High Desert Hustle) with Alden Copley (ROR NYC) in third place 1m 49s behind.

In the women's race, Brittani Shappell (ACT) soloed to the finish in 5:30:34 ahead of teammate Caroline Kikawa (ACT) in second and Becca (Book Otso / Rene Herse / Rapha) in third place.

On the Medium Gravel course Daniel Pessing (YBA Racing) was fastest for the men while Sage Speak (ACT) was fastest for the women.

On the Small Gravel course Ivan Sinkus (Superare Racing) was fastest for the men while Juliet Hochman (Team Finger) was fastest for the women.

Gran Fondo Guide started in Jan 2013 and has worked tremendously hard to establish itself and become a TRUSTED and RELIABLE source of information. We aim to build on that TRUST as we develop our services. The basic website, mobile site and tablet apps are FREE for all visitors and basic event listings are FREE for all event organisers. We aim to have an accurate, comprehensive and IMPARTIAL listing of all cycling events and the latest news and results.
