Carlton, Oregon, 45 minutes from Portland, hosts 2026 Sasquatch Duro this May 11th

Register for the Sasquatch Duro on April 11, 2026, in Carlton, Oregon, set in the heart of Oregon’s wine country and second round of the Oregon Triple Crown Series.

Known as Oregon’s wine capital, Carlton features nearly two dozen tasting rooms, a charming historic downtown, boutique shops, and excellent farm-to-table dining.

The Sasquatch Duro is produced by Mudslinger Events, a premier producer of cycling events in the Pacific Northwest.

It's an adventurous gravel ride with scenic views of the Willamette Valley and occasional wildlife sightings enhance the experience.

Choose between a 40-mile or 67-mile course, featuring approximately 2,900 feet or 5,000 feet of climbing. Expect smooth gravel, rugged sections, rolling vineyards, forests, and farmland. The short course welcomes Class 1 & 3 e-bikes, making the event accessible to a wide range of riders.

Carlton, Oregon is just 45 minutes from Portland International Airport (PDX). It’s a haven for gravel cyclists and offers a variety of designated gravel routes from local NPO Cycle Yamhill County, which you will be racing by the day of the event.

The community is perfect for a weekend getaway in Carlton or McMinnville the largest town 15 minutes from Carlton. McMinnville sits at the heart of Willamette Valley, surrounded by 200+ wineries, renowned food and drink, scenic riding and hiking, and relaxed outdoor recreation—making it an ideal base for adventure, recovery, and great meals.

Please note that no camping is available in the area of Carlton.

Recommended Tire width of 38 - 45mm suitable for cross bike, gravel bike or hardtail mountain bike.

There is a mass start with a slow rollout of Carlton for 3 miles on quiet roads before timing begins. The routes continue north with Mount Richmond looming in the distance.

e-Bikes are welcome on the short route. Only Class 1 and 3 e-bikes are allowed. No others and max capacity is 50 for this event.

The three aid stations out on course at (18, 40 and 46 miles) will include PB and J, cookies, Hammer Nutrition products, along with Gluten Free bread and more.

Afterwards, relax, put your bike away and hang out with friends with a complimentary beverage and post-event fun, raffle and podium awards in Carlton. Live music in Ladd Park from 12 to 3:30 pm with Jerry Sharp and the Tell Tale Hearts.
