2026 UCI Granfondo Tre Valli Varesine Results: Rasa Rumsaite and Alessio Ferraro Morey take Victory

Over 5,200 amateur cyclists from across Europe lined up in Varese for the 10th edition of the 2026 Granfondo Tre Valli Varesine, held on the same spectacular route used for the 2018 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships.

The 10th edition of the UCI Granfondo Tre Valli Varesine once again transformed Varese into the beating heart of European amateur cycling. More than 5,200 riders from across the continent took on the iconic closed-road course, weaving through the lakes, hills and pre-alpine climbs that made the 2018 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships unforgettable. With three race formats — Time Trial, Mediofondo and Granfondo — and qualification spots for the 2027 UCI Worlds in Haute-Savoie on the line, the racing was fierce from the gun.

The Gran Fondo (126 km, 2,120 m climbing) delivered a fast and tactical men’s race. A large front group held together over the early climbs before the decisive accelerations came on the final ramps into Varese. Alessio Ferraro Morey (ITA) proved the strongest, surging clear to win in 3:10:56, with Giovanni Loiscio (ITA) and Lucio Pierantozzi (ITA) completing an all-Italian podium just seconds behind.

In the women’s Gran Fondo, the race produced one of the closest finishes in event history. Rasa Rumsaite (LTU) powered to victory in 3:44:02, outsprinting Martina Cavallo (ITA) and Marion Bessone (FRA) in a three-way dash to the line. The trio were separated by less than half a minute after nearly four hours of racing.

The 101 km Medio Fondo saw blistering speeds from the start. Francesco Pirro (ITA) claimed the men’s victory in 2:35:16, edging out Matteo Foppiano (ITA) and Emanuele Labate (ITA) in a tight three-way finish.

In the women’s Medio Fondo, Michela Gorini (ITA) delivered a commanding performance, winning in 2:53:45 — more than six minutes ahead of her closest rivals. Jutta Stienen (SUI) and Anna Cadorin (ITA) completed the podium.

We aim to build on that TRUST as we develop our services. The basic website, mobile site and tablet apps are FREE for all visitors and basic event listings are FREE for all event organisers. We aim to have an accurate, comprehensive and IMPARTIAL listing of all cycling events and the latest news and results.
