2026 UCI Mammoth TUFF Results: Laurel Quinone and Cole Davis take Victory
The 2026 UCI Mammoth TUFF delivered another brutal showcase of high-altitude gravel racing, with riders battling roughly 7,400 feet of climbing and summit points nearing 7,874 feet, where oxygen thins and every pedal stroke becomes a fight. Across the TUFFest, Tuffer, and TUFF distances, riders confronted Mammoth’s volcanic terrain, pumice flats, and steep forested ascents in pursuit of podium places and qualification slots for the 2026 UCI Gravel World Championships in Nannup, Western Australia this October.
Cole Davis stamped his authority on the TUFFest men’s race, climbing aggressively and controlling the pace over the highest points of the course. Ben Byra and Lance Haidet kept the pressure on, but Davis held firm to secure victory.
In the women’s TUFFest field, Laurel Quinones delivered a composed and dominant ride, opening a decisive gap on Jennifer Tave and Kira Stock as the altitude took its toll on the chasers.
The mid-distance Tuffer event produced one of the tightest finishes of the weekend, with Carson Bagley edging Griffith Vertican by less than a second, followed closely by Ludovic Hilde. In the women’s Tuffer race, Sumer Avila rode with precision and control, taking the win ahead of Sabine Bildstein and Charity Chia.
On the shorter TUFF course, Alexander Boone powered away early and never looked back, securing a strong solo victory. Alyssa Aoki delivered one of the most polished women’s rides of the day, pacing perfectly through the high-altitude climbs to take the top step of the podium.
Across all UCI age categories, riders fought not only for podium places but also for qualification slots awarded to the top 25% of each category. With Mammoth’s altitude and rugged terrain, earning a Worlds ticket here remains one of the toughest tests on the calendar.
