The first stage, of the 70th Cycling Tour of Andalusia, will pass through Granada territory on February 14, starting in Almuñécar and ending in Cádiar. It will be 162.3 kilometers from the Granada coast to the heart of the Alpujarras. It will be a “classic” type stage with leg-breaking terrain in which the runners will encounter a continuous up and down that will offer the ideal terrain for a relentless battle for the stage and the lead of the race. That day, the third-category peaks of Ítrabo and Lanjarón will be ascended before facing the first-class Puerto de Trevélez, with just over 50 kilometers to go before the finish line, which will be located in Cádiar, one of the beautiful white towns of the Alpujarras. through which the race ran at the premiere of this edition.
