Stage 11

Wednesday, 15 July - Stage 11 of the Tour de France seems set for the sprinters. The route covers 161.3 kilometres between Vichy and Nevers, with around 1,800 metres of elevation gain.

Suited to Sprinters, Nevers welcomes the Tour peloton for the fourth time. The Belgian Eric Leman claimed the first victory here in 1971, followed by two Italian sprinters – Guido Bontempi in 1986 and Alessandro Petacchi in 2003. Which of today’s sprint heavyweights will add his name to that list?
