The 2nd stage of the Tour of Valencia takes the riders from Bétera to Torrent. The route is 172.1 kilometres long.
Bétera is located at the foot of the Sierra Calderona. When the Tour of Valencia visited the town in 2018 the riders entered the Natural Park right after the start. The race featured five climbs before finishing in Albuixech. Alejandro Valverde outsprinted his fellow-attackers Jakob Fuglsang and Luis León Sánchez in the coastal village.
The finish location of this year’s 2nd stage is Torrent. The town in the the metropolitan area of the city of Valencia hosted start starts in the last two editions. In 2020 the stage went to a punchy finish climb above Cullera, where Tadej Pogacar took the win. Last year saw also a race for climbers leave from Torrent.
