Stage 5

The last stage is the familiar finale of the Tour of Valencia. The race starts in Paterna and finishes in de streets of Valencia. Sprint finish next to certain.

The route of the last stage is virtually flat, which was also the case in recent editions. Arnaud Démare won last year’s Paterna-Valencia stage to succeed Fabio Jakobsen (2020), Dylan Groenewegen (2019), Jürgen Roelandts (2018), and Bryan Coquard (2017).

Since the race returned to the UCI calendar in 2016, the Tour of Valencia always finished in the provincial capital. The 2016 edition did not start in Paterna, but the finale was similar, athough it didn’t come down to a bunch sprint as Stijn Vandenbergh stayed just ahead of the chasing pack.
