Paris-Camembert adds Unpaved Forest Track to Pro Race

After the Plateau des Glières, was added to the 2018 Tour de France, organizers of the French race Paris-Camembert have decided to add an unpaved forest road to the 2018 edition next April 10th 2018

The sector will take place between Pont-Audemer (Eure) and Livarot (Calvados), 10 kms before the end of the race, which was won in last year by Nacer Bouhanni (Cofidis) in a final bunch sprint.

The organizers decided to change the final, with several twits to add an "originality".

"In our Spring 2017 review meeting we told elected officials want to boost the 2018 edition and find originality," said Guy Brien, the president of the organizing committee of Paris-Camembert. "We wanted to think outside the box. They offered us the way to the cabin (aka Chemin de la Cabine)".

After consultation, the organizers accepted "They thought we would not have taken it, but the riders need to get out of pre-received ideas."

Located about ten kilometers to go, the gravel track could be part of the turning point of the race.

Will Nacer Bouhanni (Cofidis) be able to defend his title next year? Answer next April!
