The rain stopped just as the 17th edition of the race began, this year's course was muddy, sandy, rocky brutally uphill, not so much about winning, about surviving.

The event challenges riders of all abilities with the 18-mile “Chiller” with 1,200 feet of climbing. The 36-mile Security CU “Thriller” with 2,200 feet of climbing. The 62-mile WAHOO “Killer” with 4,000 feet of climbing and the longer 100-mile Panaracer “Psycho Killer” with over 7,000 feet of climbing.
 
Gravel professional Ian Boswell (Wahoo Specialized) successfully defending his 2025 title finishing on the 100 mile "Psycho Killer" course in 05:14:52 an average of 19.1 mph finishing well ahead of Mark Myles (Mark Myles Racing) in second 6 minutes in arrears and Jimmy Toner (Summit Freewheelers) in third place nearly 8 minutes behind.
 
In the women's race Erin Omara (Greater Flint) also successfully defended her title, making it four consecutive wins in a row. She attacked and soloed to the finish in 05:49:37. Shelia Sherwood (Team Knights) was second fastest some 25 minutes behind and Brynn Bownman (Stellafly) was third some 32 minutes behind.
 
On the 62 mile race Conner Kamm was fastest in 03:00:35 for the men and Lyllie Sonnemann (Cxd Trek Bikes) was fastest in a time of 03:19:40.
 
On the 36 mile course Nolan Vanderzwagg (Eclipse On Tap) was fastest in a time of 01:46:49 for the mend and Katja Pofer (Atheletic Mentors) was fastest in a time of 01:51:50.
 
In the shorter 18 mile race, Joe Miller (Team JTREE) was fastest in a time of 00:56:31 and Lindsey Desarmo was fastest in a time of 01:08:05 for the womn.
 
This year's event sold out 5,700 places within a day - with a huge waiting list. 
 
Over 350 volunteers helped support the event with an estimated $90,000 USD going to support local non-profits.
 
The organizers would especially like to thank Tim and Nancy Blough Curtis for all their hard work marking the course and updating the course conditions.
 
Barry-Roubaix in Michigan, continues to be one of the largest gravel races in the United States. The Barry-Roubaix proudly participates in the 2026 Michigan Gravel Race Series.
