Distances: 70, 147, 266 km
Difficulty: Difficult terrain with longer, steeper hills
Limited to: 10,000 or less Participants

Challenge yourself by taking on Liège-Bastogne-Liège’s legendary climbs. The ultimate challenge is to complete the full 266 km distance, nearly identical to the one the pros will cover on race day the following day!

Don’t worry, two shorter distances, of 70 and 147 km are also on offer. Climb your way to the top of the Côte de la Roche-aux-Faucons, the Côte de Saint-Nicolas and the legendary Redoute to follow in the footsteps of cycling’s greatest champions. Reproduce Philippe Gilbert, Bob Jungels and Alejandro Valverde’s heroic efforts on your way to adding Liège-Bastogne-Liège to your very own list of achievements!

The 273 km course is identical to the pro race the next day, packing over 5,200 altitude metres. The 75 km and 153 km tours are proper challenges in their own right. Try and conquer mythical climbs such as the Côte de Wanne, de Côte de la Roche-aux-Faucons, de Côte de La Redoute and the Côte de Saint-Nicolas. All these arduous ascents will have electronic timing systems so you get to compare your times with your friends to see who’s the best climber of them all. On Sunday you will find out how you compare against Philippe Gilbert, Vincenzo Nibali or Alejandro Valverde.

Just like the pro classic, the Sportive / Gran Fondo will also attract a colourful, international bunch. Last year over 50 nationalities took the start of the Liège-Bastogne-Liège Challenge. Many Italians, Spaniards, Dutch, Brits and of course many Belgians all considered this event as one of the biggest challenges on their cycling calendar.
