Cécile Lejeune and Torbjorn Andre Roed take victory at 2026 BWR Utah as Quad-Tripel Crown battle tightens ahead of Montana finale

The third stop of the 2026 Belgian Waffle Ride Quad-Tripel Crown of Gravel Series delivered another brutal and unforgettable chapter as riders descended on Cedar City for the Seventh Annual BWR Utah — the Hell of the South (West). With the series standings tightening and the grand finale in Montana just days away, Utah proved decisive for the riders chasing the overall Quad-Tripel Crown title.

After her dominant win in California, Cécile Lejeune doubled up with another commanding performance, taking her second straight BWR victory on a dusty, undulating, and newly redesigned Utah Waffle course. The Trek Driftless rider now sits firmly atop the women’s Quad-Tripel standings with a perfect 200 points, giving her a commanding lead heading into Bozeman.

In the men’s race, Torbjorn Andre Roed conquered the Hell of the Southwest with a perfectly timed sprint after a fierce 50-mile battle inside a select five-man breakaway. Ryker Brand finished just one second behind, with Hayden Christian rounding out the podium — a result that has major implications for the Quad-Tripel Crown leaderboard.

The BWR Utah weekend once again transformed Cedar City into a celebration of gravel, grit, and unroad culture. Friday’s festival brought together riders, sponsors, and locals for beer, banter, and pre-race nerves, before Saturday’s full-throttle racing and the traditional post-ride feast of waffles and Belgian ale. Where BWR California blends beachside climbs and canyon grit, Utah trades ocean air for alpine altitude — rolling through red-rock valleys, sandy sectors, and long, punishing stretches of gravel under the open desert sky. This year’s course removed technical single-track in favor of flowing dirt and gravel sectors that rewarded power, strategy, and resilience. The terrain shifted constantly: sandy washboard, packed-dirt rollers, exposed climbs at altitude — each demanding a fresh measure of strength and sanity.

Utah was the critical third round of the Quad-Tripel Crown of Gravel Series, and the points battle tightened dramatically.

Women’s Series

With her second straight win, Cécile Lejeune now leads the series with a perfect 200 points, giving her a decisive advantage heading into Montana. Behind her, Holly Breck (157 pts) and Hannah Shell (115 pts) remain in contention, but they will need something extraordinary in Bozeman to challenge Lejeune’s dominance.

Men’s Series

The men’s standings are far more volatile. Despite finishing third in Utah, Hayden Christian retains the overall lead with 143 points, but the gap has narrowed:

- Lance Haidet sits second with 115 points
- Torbjorn Andre Roed rockets into third with 110 points after his Utah win
- Truman Glasgow (93 pts) and Daxton Mock (90 pts) remain within striking distance

With only 33 points separating the top three, the men’s title will be decided on the dirt roads of Montana.

All roads now lead to Montana!

The 2026 Quad-Tripel Crown of Gravel Series will reach its climax on June 19–20 at the completely redesigned BWR Montana, now based at Glen Lake Rotary Park in Bozeman. Featuring a new course, new sectors, and the most scenic — and punishing — terrain in the series, Montana promises to deliver a finale worthy of the Quad-Tripel Crown.
