Kentucky Hosting A Number of Century Rides
Organizers of the Kentucky Century Challenge announce the challenge will return for a fourth year.
March 8th March 20016, Frankfort, Kentucky - The Kentucky Century Challenge is a compilation of four cycling events in Kentucky - the Redbud Ride in London; the Horsey Hundred in Georgetown; Bike Morehead in Morehead; and the Hub City Tour in Elizabethtown.
New for 2016 is the Bike Morehead ride which, along with London, is headquartered in a certified Kentucky Trail Town, according to a news release.
Each event offers a "Century Ride" option of 100 miles, in addition to other routes that are of a shorter distance. In order to complete the Kentucky Century Challenge, riders must complete any three of the four Century Rides. Riders who are successful will qualify for a special-edition Kentucky Century Challenge jersey which is only available to participants who sign up for and complete the Challenge.
The 2016 ride dates and locations are: Redbud Ride, April 23, London; Horsey Hundred, May 27-29, Georgetown; Bike Morehead, June 18, Morehead; and the Hub City Tour, Sept. 10, Elizabethtown.

Sponsors for the 2016 Kentucky Century Challenge include: Morehead Tourism, Graviss McDonald's, London Downtown, Cumberland Valley Cycling Club, Small Batch Cyclery and the Zombie Cycling Team.
Registration will be available online through April 17.
