VIDEO: Vinokourov plays huge Prank on Team Astana

Astana's riders were left wondering who the ‘old man’ was who ripped past them on a climb during their training camp

Astana general manager Alexandre Vinokourov disguised as a an old, complete with false moustache, beer belly and wig played the ultimate prank on his team.

The team riders were left stunned that the 'old man' has past them on the climb and set off in pursuit. Much to their amazement he kept up and even overtook them.

To say the riders on the team weren't best pleased is an understatement until they fell about laughing when he revealed his identity.

The 44-year-old Kazakh team manager is still very fit, during his professional career Vinokourov won four stages in the Tour de France and the Vuelta a España, took gold in the London 2012 Olympic Games road race. He also appeared on the Tour podium placing third overall in the 2005.

He also won Paris-Nice, Liège-Bastogne-Liège and the Amstel Gold Race and the Critérium du Dauphiné
