48 year old Davide Rebellin returns to Pro cycling

The Italian, who turned professional in 1992, has signed back up with team Meridiana Kamen for 2020

In Rebellin’s younger career has won Flèche Wallone three times, Liège-Bastogne-Liège, Tirreno-Adriatico and a Paris-Nice too.

Team manager Antonio Giallorenzo said “We are very happy with Davide’s return to our team. We know him well and have a special relationship with him, for us he is like family and he is an important rider. With his great experience he will surely be a support to make young people grow and he can offer his knowledge, as well as being competitive.”

Rebellin has won over 60 races in his 29 year career, including wins at Liège Bastonge Liege, Amstel Gold Race and Flèche Wallonne in 2014.

He wore the pink jersey for six days at the Giro d’Italia he won the opening stage in 1996.
