Register NOW for the WYO131 Gravel Grinder

5th edition takes place Saturday Sept 10, 2022 from Lander, Wyoming with three distances for all abilities

Step back into the Wild West and immerse yourself in the high desert, historic mining towns and breath-taking views at Wyoming’s premier gravel ride.

The WYO131 is a true classic, up there with the most unique and original gravel rides like Mid-South, Gravel Unbound, the original Almanzo 100 and the now retired Trans Iowa.

This rugged ride is well known for its 5 STAR gravel in the most remote and least densely populated regions of the West.

For real cowboys and cowgirls, the 131 mile distance is one of the toughest gravel races in the U.S. with over 10,000 feet of climbing, minimal support and podium prize money!

2022 sees the addition of a 40 mile and a 70 mile route to suit any rider who wants to come soak up some hoodoos, rolling hills, and the sweeping views of Wyoming high desert landscape.

The 40 mile route is perfect for those who are new to gravel and want to see what all the fuss / fun is about.

The 70 mile route is a great option for those who aren’t ready to chew on the whole WYO131 just yet, same start as the WYO131 without the crazy miles and elevation!

The 131 mile route is the ultimate bucket-list gravel ride. This is not a ride for beginners. There will be pain and suffering. There will be cut off times. Some people will not finish. You’ll need hard-core gravel racing and endurance experience before taking on this route. There are several bail-points and there will be a SAG car.

In true Wyoming spirit (first state to let women vote), there are equal cash prizes on offer for both men and women, $500 for first place, $250 for second place and $100 for third place.

Aid stations will be stocked with water and snacks, plus some secret swag for some distances and toilets will be available. There will be 1 station for the 40-mile route, 2 for the 70-mile, and 5 for the 131-mile route.

All three routes start in the awesome town of Lander, the gateway to the breath-taking Wind River Mountain Range, ranked as one of the best outdoor towns in America.

Plenty of restaurants, lodging, camping, museums and other activities are available for those who want to make a long weekend away with friends and family.
