The North Winds Gravel Classic is a timed-event set in the remote wilderness of the Tug Hill located in beautiful Northern New York. With 3 distances to suit riders of all capabilities and interest, The Classic is a showcase of the fastest gravel in the Northeast. The North Wind name derives from the consistent winds that travel across Lake Ontario to the Tug Hill plateau, making this area perfect for sustainable energy generation through windmills and the most annual snowfall in North America east of the Rocky Mountains.

With pristine gravel roads that are built and maintained for year round recreation, The Classic is sure to be a staple on the gravel calendar for years to come. The North Winds Gravel Classic aims to elevate each gravel rider’s experience, by linking outdoor adventure and beautiful scenery with our cycling community.

Included with your registration is a (insert exclusive swag tbd), and admission to our festive afterparty, with food, music and vendors. Come ride with us!

The North Winds Gravel Classic is hosted by the Adirondack Foothills Cycling Club, whose mission is to promote enjoyment, training, education and advocacy for the sport of cycling to people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds in Northern New York State. Proceeds from the North Winds Gravel Classic will benefit cycling education programs hosted by the Adirondack Foothills Cycle Club, a 501(c)3 not for profit.
