Conquer one of Mexico’s most demanding and spectacular rides — The Volcano Route, a full 183 km circuit with 3,976 meters of elevation gain around the majestic Nevado de Colima National Park. This route features multiple mountain passes, ending with a brutal Hors Catégorie climb that defines true endurance.

Starting from Ciudad Guzmán, riders follow the old highway toward Atenquique, descending into its legendary canyon — home to one of Mexico’s oldest paper mills. The course winds through rural villages and past La Becerra, where the iconic Hacienda San Antonio stands as a jewel of Mexican architecture and history. Then comes the infamous “Puerto del Inframundo”, a 13 km ascent where temperatures can soar above 50°C — a true trial by fire.

The final challenge awaits at El Floripondio, the Hors Catégorie climb that crowns the route at 2,400 meters above sea level, before an exhilarating 22 km descent back to the starting point.
