VIDEO: Team Sky apologise to cyclist after Team bus passes a bit too close

Team Sky have apologised to a cyclist after the team bus almost knocked him off his bike

Cyclist Andy Rolfe posted the video on social media showing the Team Sky bus swerving, narrowly missing him while overtaking at high speed and causing a vehicle coming the other way to stop in a narrow area.

Andy Rolfe is obviously upset with such a big vehicle passing him so closely at great speed and has apologized for his language but was shaken by the incident.

Sky said the driving was "unacceptable" and that drivers will be "reminded of their responsibilities".

"Encouraging people to get out and on their bikes is a huge part of what we stand for as a team," a statement read.

"We are a team of cyclists and we know how important it is for us to set an example when it comes to ensuring cyclists are able to use the roads safely."

The video has been shared repeatedly across all social media in an effort to raise awareness of the issue of road cyclists' safety.
