One thousand cyclists participated in the second edition of Gran Fondo Nice, and doubled the participants from the first edition in 2018.

With excellent weather conditions, everyone enjoyed a neutralized segment starting from the Nice Matin Journal Headquarters, host and main sponsor of the event.

The event had two routes, the longer one Named Culture Velo, 129 km and 2,500 vertical meters of ascent with 3 well marked “cols”, the short one by DTSwiss was 101 km and 1,830 vertical meters of ascent, and was completed in less than 3 hours by a top ranked, selected peloton containing pro cyclist as Nicolas Roche, Team Giant and former professional cyclist Davide Renbellin, who pushed very hard to break the peloton after the very first climb.
