Six Gap Century & Three Gap Fifty Bike Ride

September 26 - September 27 2020
Dahlonega, Georgia, USA
Join us on Sunday, September 29th, 2019 for one of the most challenging cycling events in the Southeast, the 31st Annual Six Gap Century & Three Gap Fifty!

During the last weekend of September, two days of twowheeled action will take center stage in Dahlonega, Georgia for the Six Gap Century weekend. Thousands of cyclists will gather in the beautiful historic square of Dahlonega on Saturday, September 28th for the Six Gap Bike Expo and Criterium Race.

The following day, 2,500 cyclists are expected to make the annual uphill pilgrimage in three noncompetitive rides for the Six Gap Century & Three Gap Fifty. Test your stamina with more than 11,200 feet of vertical climbing over the 104-mile Six Gap Century course, or try your hand at the 58-mile Three Gap Fifty course. Not quite up to the challenge? Join us for the 35-mile Valley Ride - a great introduction to the Six Gap Century & Three Gap Fifty!

The Six Gap Century's ultra challenging route takes you up and down six of the steepest climbs in the North Georgia Mountains. Test your stamina with more than 11,200 feet of vertical climbing over the 104 mile course. The Three Gap Fifty’s alternative route offers half the gaps and half the distance, but is nevertheless a demanding and challenging course at 58 miles.

Six Gap Century & Three Gap Fifty Bike Ride

Think you have what it takes to finish the Six Gap Century?

The Six Gap Century boasts many of the same roads and mountain climbs as the elite Tour de Georgia. The ultra-challenging route takes you up and down six of the steepest climbs in the North Georgia Mountains.

Elevations on the six gaps in this ride range from 1,400 feet to 3,460 feet. The toughest climb, Hogpen Gap, will challenge even the strongest rides, averaging a 7% grade for seven miles, with sections as steep as 15%.

The Six Gap Century includes nine full rest stops, all supplied with a great selection of food and drink. Exhilerated Six Gappers will be greeted with a huge spaghetti dinner after the ride.
