Kootenay Rockies Gran Fondo

September 10 2016
Cranbrook, British Columbia, Canada

The Kootenay Rockies Gran Fondo, the "Friendliest Fondo", is a nonprofit event sponsored by Cranbrook Sunrise Rotary Club.  A  "Single Loop Course", beginning and finishing at the beautiful 5 Star St. Eugene Golf Resort & Casino, riders are treated to spectacular scenery at the foot of the Rocky Mountains.  The event has three course options:  Gran Fondo,  152 kms, 1303 metres elevation gain,  Medio Fondo , 102 kms,  685 metres elevation and a Piccolo Fondo of 58 kms,  355 metres elevation.

The Cranbrook Sunrise Rotary Club is proud to partner with Taylor Adams, Professional Chartered Accountants as our Title Sponsor.  Our goal is to provide cyclists  a world class Fondo, attract tourists to our region, and raise funds for local charitable endeavours. The 26 km Northstar Rails to Trails dedicated cycling path that connects Cranbrook & Kimberley is an annual recipient of a portion of the event proceeds. Other funds support community service projects in our area. We are committed to using local suppliers and businesses to benefit our community.
