Jan Ullrich leads guest stars at 2026 Mallorca 312 OK Mobility

Former German cycling pro Jan Ullrich will wear the honorary bib number 312 at the 2026 edition of Mallorca 312 OK Mobility. The event, which takes place on April 25, 2026, will see the former Tour de France winner lead a peloton of 8,500 cyclists starting in Playa de Muro on the Spanish island of Mallorca.

Jan Ullrich leads guest stars at 2026 Mallorca 312 OK Mobility

Ullrich returns to the event following his previous participation in 2021. As a winner of the Tour de France in 1997, the Vuelta a España in 1999, and an Olympic gold medallist at the Sydney 2000 Games, the organising team notes that his presence highlights the international status and popularity of the gran fondo in Mallorca. His presence is not without controversy, however, given Ullrich’s association with the darker side of cycling. He was found guilty of a doping offence by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in 2012.

Now in its sixteenth edition, the Mallorca 312 continues to position Mallorca as a leading destination for international cycling. Ullrich will be joined by an extensive list of former professional champions, including Alberto Contador, Miguel Induráin, Annemiek van Vleuten, and Sean Kelly.

The 2026 starting list also features notable names such as Haimar Zubeldia, Joseba Beloki, Maurizio Fondriest, Samuel Sánchez, Óscar Pereiro, and Marga Fullana. They will be joined by active cyclist Marina Garau and Paralympic champion Ricardo Ten.

The Mallorca 312 OK Mobility offers three distinct routes for participants: 312km, 226km, and 167km. Each route provides a different level of challenge across the island’s varied scenery, supported by a large-scale logistical operation.

This year, the event has reported significant local engagement, with more than 2,600 cyclists from the Balearic community set to take part. This figure represents approximately 30% of the total field, reflecting the event’s deep roots in the region.

The official presentation of the event will take place on April 24, 2026, at 13:00 CEST in the central square of the expo area. This presentation will feature many of the headline cycling legends, including Ullrich, Contador, and Induráin.

The race itself begins with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony at 06:30 CEST on April 25. The day will conclude with an awards ceremony on the main stage at 21:00 CEST.
