Wertz and Rinehart fastest at 2024 UCI Highlands Gravel Classic
Hundreds to gravel riders took part in the Highlands Gravel Classic, the only age-group qualifier in the USA for the Trek UCI Gravel World Series in Goshen, Arkansas this weekend.
The Highlands Gravel Classic has 2 courses; the Highlands 68 miles and Farmlands 54 miles. The 68 mile course was for Males (19-59) and Females (19-49) and 54 mile course was for Males 60+ and Females 50+.
In the Elites men’s category Brennan Wertz attacked from a leading group of 3riders to win in a time of 3h 20m 25s, 10s ahead of Cobe Freeburn, and 34 seconds ahead of Nicholas Roche!

In the women’s Elite category Jenna Rinehart took 1st place in the overall elite competition, She solo’ed to the finish ahead of Maude farrell in 2nd 25 s behind whilst Flavia Oliveira Parks came 3rd some 4 minutes behind.

Riders finishing in the top 25% in their age and gender category have automatically qualified to participate in the 2024 UCI Gravel World Championships taking place in Belgium.
