The Gran Fondo National Series has confirmed that the courses for the 2025 Gran Fondo Asheville p/b Applewood Manor Foundation are ready for the event. They have worked closely with local officials and agencies to ensure the event is welcome in the community as residents, businesses, and the government continue rebuilding.

Donor Experiences, Benefitting River Arts District Artists
Asheville’s River Arts District was decimated by Hurricane Helene. Longtime partner, Applewood Manor Foundation, is hosting multiple Donor Appreciation Experiences for Gran Fondo Asheville riders. All of the funds collected for Applewood Experiences will go to River Arts District Artists Foundation (RADA) and 100% of those funds will directly benefit River Arts District Artists.
- Friday Donor Appreciation Dinner
Kick off a great weekend in Asheville, North Carolina on Friday July 18th with a special Donors Appreciation Dinner at Applewood Manor. Enjoy a multi-course dinner prepared by guest chef Kevin Chrisman of The Golden Hour at The Radical Hotel, with Vitor Schizzi. Includes exceptional wine pairings from Applewood's wine cellar.
This exclusive VIP Dinner begins at 6:30pm, is limited to 16 guest, and calls for a minimum donation to RADA of $300 per person. (Use Donation Option to Contribute More)
- Saturday Donor Appreciation Cookout & Concierge Packet Pickup
On Saturday, July 19, join Applewood Manor founder Stephen Collins, Gran Fondo National Series founder Reuben Kline, and special guests for a Donors Reception at Applewood Manor. Includes concierge packet pickup, an authentic paella cookout, craft beer from Burial Beer Co, wine provided by Collins and a small fund-raising auction.
Saturday Event Details: This exclusive experience is limited to 40 guests and calls for a minimum donation to RADA of $100 per person. (Use Donation Option to Contribute More). Arrival: 6pm for social drinks; 7pm - Food served; 9pm - Complete festivities and get some sleep. Includes Concierge Packet Pick Up, gift bag, event overview, Q&A and strategy from Series Director Reuben Kline. Professional bike mechanic on site: Stoker's Studio is Asheville's newest bicycle shop, focused on offering the best technical and customer service, and is excited to offer expedited mechanical assistance to those supporting the Asheville Gran Fondo.

After enjoying Friday’s dinner at Applewood Manor and Saturday’s Cookout and Concierge Packet Pickup at Applewood Manor, donors who contribute at least $500 to RADA will have the honor of starting Sunday’s Gran Fondo Asheville at the very front of the peloton. The 3-day Donors Experience includes everything listed above for the Friday and Saturday events along with professional bike mechanic services from Stoker's Studio.

3 Routes for All Abilities
Departing Asheville’s vibrant downtown, the routes for Gran Fondo Asheville hit the best serpentine roads, climbs, and descents in the Asheville area.
There are three distances on offer, the 98-mile Gran Route has 4 timed sections and 8,862 feet of climbing, the 61-mile Medio route has 3 timed sections and 4,941 feet of climbing, and the 36-mile Piccolo Route has 1 timed section and 2,006 feet of climbing.

Solo, Team and Age Group Prizes
Professional chip timing keeps track of every rider on course and allows riders to compete for the best combined time through up to 4 timed sections on route. Riders can compete solo, and or as a team, while also regrouping and riding at a more relaxed pace with others between timed sections to and enjoy the views!
There are competitions for overall male and female victories, as well as age group competitions for males and females. The team competition is won with the combined time of a team’s fastest three riders. Bonus seconds are awarded for additional team members who finish, meaning there’s a benefit to bringing a larger team.
The team category is very popular and very competitive.

For the Gran Fondo Route there is the team prize. Teams must have three or more riders to qualify. Team riders are still eligible for individual awards.
Fully Supported
As with all Gran Fondo National Series events, there are full stocked feed stations on all routes to keep you fed and hydrated, with individually-packaged food options.
There will be 4 aid stations along the Gran route, 2 on the Medio, and 1 on the Piccolo (about every 20-25 miles). Food and water will be provided in single-serving packages. We will provide Water, Heed sports drink, Soda, Hammer Gel, Hammer Bars, Bananas, Clementines, Cookies, Chips, Fig Bars, and other items.
Aid-Station will have bathrooms.
Ride with confidence on the marked and marshalled course, supported by law enforcement, safety motos, mechanic and sag vehicles, and staffed feed stations.
Photos will capture the excitement of the day, with event photos available for purchase shortly after the ride.
Post Ride Party
Offering what is perhaps the best Post Ride Party you’ll ever find at a finish line at Asheville Yards Amphitheater, offer congratulatory beers to the riders as the return from the challenging routes. Along with a fresh hot meal and great comradery shared among the riders, the awards are followed by a Post Ride Raffle with more than $5000 in prizes to give out from Series sponsors, but beware, race director Reuben Kline is known for his uncanny ability to convince riders into doing pushes and other physical acts, like how can stand on one foot the longest.
Whether hanging out for your chance to step onto the podium, win an awesome raffle prize, or just enjoy some great beers with fellow riders, the post ride part is a fun time for all!
