Dwars door Vlaanderen Women's Race added to 2026 WorldTour

From 2026 through 2028, the Flanders Classics calendar will continue to feature four one-day races at the highest level. And starting next year, this will apply to both men and women, as Dwars door Vlaanderen will appear for the first time on the UCI Women’s WorldTour calendar in 2026.

In addition, the Amstel Gold Race will also retain its status for the next three seasons.

As part of the renewal of the UCI WorldTour licenses, Flanders Classics has received confirmation that its races will remain at the highest level for the next three years. Specifically, this concerns the Tour of Flanders, Omloop het Nieuwsblad, Gent-Wevelgem In Flanders Fields, and Dwars door Vlaanderen. Until now, only the men's edition of the latter held that status.

Since 2017, Dwars door Vlaanderen has been part of the UCI WorldTour for Men Elite. Until now, the women’s race was held at the ProSeries level. Starting next season, the race will be included for the first time in the UCI Women’s WorldTour, adding another top-level women’s race to the Flanders Classics spring calendar.

Moreover, this marks a new step in the Closing The Gap project, thanks to presenting partner FLCS Women KPMG and all other partners, as every race that is part of the men’s WorldTour is now also part of the women’s.
